In the middle of the forest, along the path of a bicycle race in northern Sweden, we created an alternative bike path flanked by 22 speakers, each with a sensor designed specifically to detect bicycles. As the bicycles triggered the sensors, augmented sounds of rattling chains and forest life along with generated melodies immersed the riders in surreal soundscapes.

My responsibility was to develop the sensors and the music playback system using Raspberry Pies running linux and custom code to communicate between the custom sensors.

The installation was later repeated during the winter cross-country ski version of the event, where we replaced the raspberry pies with Ableton Live for music playback and light sensors for triggering.
